- Here is an idea of how students can use "Grapher" on the Mac. This is from Mark Freeman's classes. (pg 93 in Analytic Geometry 6th edition. Problem 17. Problem says to find the equations of the three sides of the triangle with vertices (1,4), (3,0) and (-1,-2). Find equations of the medians, and find equations of the altitudes of the triangle.)

There is demonstrations on all kinds of mathematical concepts and you can download each of the individual concepts to run on the mathematica player. This is very useful for the abstract ideas that I am experiencing in teaching Analytical Geometry. This can be a tool for all math classes however. Check it out.
